TAMPA — Ross Colton scored the game-winning goal at 5:32 of the third period, and the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 at Amalie Arena on Thursday.
Andrei Vasilevskiy made 19 saves for his 10th straight win, and Alex Killorn and Yanni Gourde scored for the Lightning (21-6-2), who are 5-0-1 against the Blackhawks this season.
Dylan Strome scored in his return after missing 11 games for the Blackhawks (14-12-5) while in NHL concussion protocol. Kevin Lankinen made 19 saves.
Colton received a pass from Mathieu Joseph as he got behind the Blackhawks defense and beat Lankinen with a backhand to make it 3-2.
Victor Hedman scored into an empty net with 16 seconds remaining for the 4-2 final.
Mattias Janmark put the Blackhawks ahead 1-0 at 2:10 of the first period with a power-play goal. Janmark tipped in a pass from Dominik Kubalik at the side of the net.
Killorn tied it 1-1 when he tucked the puck past Lankinen on a wraparound at 13:15.
Gourde made it 2-1 at 17:02 with a power-play goal on a backhand through Lankinen’s five-hole.
Strome answered to tie it 2-2 at 18:45 with a power-play goal.
