Vladimir Tkachyov agreed to a one-year, $832,500 contract with the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday.
The 25-year-old forward led SKA St. Petersburg of the Kontinental Hockey League with 38 points (11 goals, 27 assists) in 45 games this season and scored eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 11 playoff games.
In seven KHL seasons, Tkachyov scored 185 points (62 goals, 123 assists) in 254 games with SKA St. Petersburg, Ufa Salavat Yulayev, Vladivostok Admiral and Omsk Avangard.
He played two seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League from 2013-15, scoring 79 points (26 goals, 53 assists) in 66 regular-season games with Moncton and Quebec, and 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 27 playoff games.
The Kings (21-28-7) finished sixth in the eight-team Honda West Division and failed to qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the third straight season.
