Pius Suter scored 2:15 into overtime to give the Chicago Blackhawks their third straight win, 2-1 against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Tuesday.
Suter skated around Stars defenseman John Klingberg and shot off the left post and into the net for Chicago (6-4-4), which is 6-1-3 in its past 10 games.
The Blackhawks swept the two-game set. They defeated the Stars 2-1 in overtime Sunday.
Mattias Janmark scored, and Kevin Lankinen made 34 saves for the Blackhawks.
Roope Hintz scored, and Jake Oettinger made 27 saves for the Stars (5-2-3), who are 1-2-3 after a 4-0-0 start.
Jason Robertson stole the puck from Suter and sent a pass to Hintz, who scored on a backhand for a 1-0 Dallas lead at 4:57 of the first period.
Jamie Benn appeared to extend the lead to 2-0 at 4:10 of the second period when he lifted a shot into the net. The goal was disallowed due to goaltender interference after a coach’s challenge by Chicago.
Janmark tied it 1-1 at 14:04 when he tipped Dominik Kubalik‘s shot from the right face-off circle between Oettinger’s legs for a power-play goal.
Janmark signed a one-year contract with the Blackhawks on Oct. 12 after four seasons with the Stars. He has nine points (five goals, four assists) in 14 games.
Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen denied Patrick Kane‘s wraparound attempt to keep it 1-1 at 4:34 of the third period.
Stars forward Joel Kiviranta played 17:33 after missing the past eight games with a lower-body injury.
The Blackhawks used 11 forwards and seven defensemen after defenseman Connor Murphy was a late scratch (right hip).
Madison Bowey played 10:28 in his Blackhawks debut. The defenseman signed a two-year contract with Chicago on Jan. 28.
