Kudos to Mark Stone for getting everyone a little closer to normalcy during these difficult times.
The Golden Knights forward was named the first star after scoring the game-winning goal and tallying an assist on a Max Pacioretty goal in a 5-2 win against the Anaheim Ducks on Thursday.
As is custom, when someone from the home team is named one of the three stars of the game, they come back out onto the ice to acknowledge the crowd. And the absence of a crowd didn’t prevent Stone going through with the ritual.
This was also Stone’s first game as the first captain in Golden Knights history, so dare we say this was an excellent show of leadership.
