Joe Pavelski and Roope Hintz each had a goal and two assists for the Dallas Stars in a 3-2 win against the Nashville Predators at American Airlines Center on Sunday.
The Stars (2-0-0) scored all three goals on the power play after scoring five with the man-advantage in a 7-0 win against the Predators in their season opener Friday.
The Predators (2-3-0) have lost three consecutive games and have scored four goals during that span.
Denis Gurianov gave the Stars a 1-0 lead at 14:55 of the first period. He took a pass from Pavelski and beat goalie Juuse Saros from the right face-off circle.
Hintz made it 2-0 at 6:36 of the second period on a wrist shot from the left circle. It was his first goal of the season.
Filip Forsberg scored on a Predators power play to make it 2-1 at 14:55. He took a pass from Viktor Arvidsson and beat goalie Anton Khudobin.
Pavelski gave the Stars a 3-1 lead at 4:51 of the third period when he one-timed a pass from Hintz.
Mikael Granlund scored at 9:59 to get the Predators within 3-2. It was his first goal.
Stars forward Jamie Benn missed the game because of a lower-body injury.
Defenseman Luca Sbisa played 11:58 in his Predators debut.
