LAS VEGAS — Reilly Smith scored his first NHL hat trick and the Vegas Golden Knights won their third consecutive game, 4-1 against the St. Louis Blues at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday.
Smith has five goals in his past three games after a nine-game drought.
Chandler Stephenson scored, and Alex Pietrangelo had two assists for the Golden Knights (39-12-3), who swept the back-to-back set here and finished 6-1-1 against the Blues this season. Vegas won 4-3 in overtime on Friday.
Marc-Andre Fleury made 20 saves for his eighth consecutive win.
The Blues (24-20-9) had their eight-game point streak end and lost in regulation for the first time since April 22 (5-0-3). Colton Parayko scored, and Ville Husso made 26 saves.
Each team has clinched a berth in the Stanley Cup Playoffs from the eight-team Honda West Division.
Smith gave the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead at 12:26 of the first period when his attempt deflected off Jaden Schwartz‘s leg.
Stephenson scored shorthanded 54 seconds later at 13:32 to make it 2-0 on a one-timer from Pietrangelo.
Parayko cut it to 2-1 at 19:23 of the second period after he forced a turnover from Shea Theodore below the goal line.
Smith scored on the power play at 4:11 of the third to make it 3-1 and scored into an empty net at 19:12 for the 4-1 final.
