Seven score for Stars in win against Wild


Seven players scored for the Dallas Stars in a 7-4 win against the Minnesota Wild at American Airlines Center in Dallas on Monday.

Miro Heiskanen and Jamie Benn each had a goal and assist for the Stars (15-12-2), which has won its past two games following a five-game losing streak. Jake Oettinger made 19 saves.

Kirill Kaprizov had a goal and two assists, and Kevin Fiala scored twice for the Wild (19-9-2), who have lost four in a row (0-3-1). Cam Talbot made 22 saves.

Joe Pavelski scored on a rebound to give Dallas a 1-0 lead at 1:31 of the first period.

Esa Lindell intercepted a clear attempt by Talbot for a shorthanded goal to make it 2-0 at 3:24.

Ryan Hartman cut it to 2-1 when he one-timed a pass from Kaprizov at 5:25.

Fiala tied it 2-2 off a backhand pass from Marcus Foligno at 15:42.

Tyler Seguin put the Stars back in front less than a minute later after a drop pass from Denis Gurianov to make it 3-2.

Roope Hintz made it 4-2 with a power play goal from the left face-off dot at 8:02 of the second period.

Kaprizov cut it to 4-3 at 17:37 with a shot from a sharp angle in the right circle.

Jacob Peterson‘s shot deflected off Alex Goligoski‘s stick and got past Talbot at 2:06 of the third period to make it 5-3, and Heiskanen extended the Stars lead a minute later to make it 6-3 at 3:06.

Fiala cut it to 6-4 at 15:06 during a power play and Talbot pulled for an extra attacker.

Benn scored an empty-net goal at 18:28 for the 7-4 final.

Wild forward Joel Eriksson Ek left the game at 10:35 of the second period because of an upper-body injury.
