The game between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Islanders scheduled for Tuesday at Nassau Coliseum has been postponed.
The Sabres practiced in Buffalo on Monday and were scheduled to travel to Long Island on Tuesday after altering their plans because of weather conditions. So that required COVID-19 tracing protocols can be completed appropriately, the decision was made by the NHL to reschedule the game for a future date.
Buffalo played home games against the New Jersey Devils on Jan. 30 and 31. The NHL announced Monday that the Devils have had their games postponed at least through Feb. 6 after four additional players were added to the NHL COVID Protocol Related Absence List.
The Sabres and Islanders are scheduled to play at Nassau Coliseum on Thursday (7 p.m. ET; ESPN+, MSG+, MSG-B, NHL.TV).
