Joakim Nordstrom signed a one-year, $700,000 contract with the Calgary Flames on Monday.
The 28-year-old forward was an unrestricted free agent. He scored seven points (four goals, three assists) in 48 games for the Boston Bruins last season and had two assists in 13 postseason games.
Selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the third round (No. 90) of the 2010 NHL Draft, Nordstrom has scored 68 points (31 goals, 37 assists) in 400 regular-season games for the Bruins, Carolina Hurricanes and Blackhawks. He’s scored 10 points (three goals, seven assists) in 46 playoff games and won the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2015.
