The King has hit the nation’s capital.
New Washington Capitals goalie Henrik Lundqvist decided to check out his new surroundings on, sharing some of the sights and sounds on his Instagram page on Monday.
Lundqvist posted some photos and video of him and his two daughters, Charlise and Juli, touring Washington D.C. Lundqvist signed a one-year contract with the Capitals after parting ways with the New York Rangers after 15 seasons.
“Roadtrip. Checking out our new surroundings and we LIKE it,” Lundqvist captioned his photos.
In one, Carlise and Juli are doing cartwheels in front of the Washington Monument. Another shows Lundqvist in front of Capital One Arena. The third has Lundqvist in his new locker, his familiar No. 35 on the nameplate with Charlise and Juli on his lap.
The Capitals shared a photo of Lundqvist alone in his locker with the caption “The King in The District.”
