Korpisalo makes 36 saves, Blue Jackets defeat Lightning

COLUMBUS — Max Domi and Jack Roslovic each had a goal and an assist for the Columbus Blue Jackets in a 4-2 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Nationwide Arena on Tuesday.

Joonas Korpisalo made 36 saves for the Blue Jackets (15-18-8), who won for the second time in nine games (2-6-1). Columbus is 3-1-1 against Tampa Bay this season.

Ross Colton and Luke Schenn scored, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 26 saves for the Lightning (26-11-2), who have lost five of their past seven games.

The teams will complete the two-game set here Thursday.

Zac Dalpe scored his first of the season to give the Blue Jackets a 1-0 lead at 14:57 of the first period. It was his first goal since Oct. 20, 2016, when he played for the Minnesota Wild.

Roslovic made it 2-0 at 2:03 of the second after Vasilevskiy and Ben Thomas couldn’t connect on a pass behind the Lightning net.

Domi extended the lead to 3-0 at 6:08 of third with a power-play goal, and Nick Foligno made it 4-0 with an empty-net goal at 13:30. 

Colton cut it to 4-1 at 14:37 before Schenn scored with 19 seconds remaining for the 4-2 final.
