TAMPA — Spencer Knight made 30 saves, and Anton Lundell scored his first NHL goal for the Florida Panthers in a 4-1 win against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena on Tuesday.
Aleksander Barkov and Brandon Montour scored for Florida, which has won its first three games for a second straight season. Knight made his season debut and has not lost in his five NHL regular-season games.
Brayden Point scored for the Lightning (2-2-0), who have yet to hold a lead during regulation. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 28 saves.
Barkov gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead at 3:40 of the third period when he scored off a loose puck off the stick of Carter Verhaeghe. Lundell extended the lead to 3-1 at 13:19 with a one-timer off a pass from Sam Reinhart.
Anthony Duclair scored an empty-net goal for a 4-1 lead at 17:54, his third straight game with a goal.
Montour gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead at 6:12 of the second period when he took control of a face-off and scored with a wrist shot to the near post.
Point tied it 1-1 at 2:36 of the third period with a slap shot through traffic that brushed off Panthers defenseman Mackenzie Weegar.
