Mattias Janmark agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.25 million contract with the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday.
The 27-year-old forward was an unrestricted free agent. He scored 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 62 games for the Dallas Stars last season and eight points (one goal, seven assists) in 26 postseason games to help them advance to the Stanley Cup Final, a six-game loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the third round (No. 79) of the 2013 NHL Draft, Janmark has scored 109 points (46 goals, 63 assists) in 297 regular-season games and 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 45 playoff games.
