Denis Gurianov signed a two-year, $5.1 million contract with the Dallas Stars on Thursday. It has an average annual value of $2.55 million.
The 23-year-old restricted free agent forward scored 29 points (20 goals, nine assists) in 64 games with the Stars last season and 17 points (nine goals, eight assists) in 27 Stanley Cup Playoff games. Dallas lost the Stanley Cup Final in six games to the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Selected by Dallas in the first round (No. 12) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Gurianov has scored 33 points (21 goals, 12 assists) in 86 regular-season games and 17 points in 27 playoff games.
