Christian Fischer signed a two-year contract with the Arizona Coyotes on Monday. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The 23-year-old forward, who was a restricted free agent, scored nine points (six goals, three assists) in 56 regular-season games last season. He also had one assist in nine postseason games for the Coyotes, who lost the best-of-7 Western Conference First Round in five games to the Colorado Avalanche.
“We are very pleased to sign Christian to a multiyear contract,” Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong said. “Christian is a hardworking power forward who is strong along the boards. He will add size and toughness to our forward group.”
Selected by Arizona in the second round (No. 32) of the 2015 NHL Draft, Fischer has scored 63 points (35 goals, 28 assists) in 213 regular-season games.
