Coleman to have NHL Player Safety hearing for actions in Flames game


Blake Coleman will have a hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety on Thursday.

The Calgary Flames forward is facing discipline for boarding Winnipeg Jets forward Jansen Harkins.

The incident occurred at 6:15 of the second period in the Flames’ 3-2 preseason loss at Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg on Wednesday. Coleman received a minor penalty for boarding at 6:17. Harkins remained in the game.

The following grounds are being considered for supplemental discipline: boarding. However, the Department of Player Safety retains the right to make adjustments to the infraction upon review.
