Canucks Holtby throws hat on ice in recognition of Sutters three goals

With no fans in the stands, Braden Holtby took matters in to his own hands.

The Vancouver Canucks goalie tossed his hat on the ice after forward Brandon Sutter scored his third goal of the game in recognition of Sutter scoring his first NHL hat trick.

Holtby was serving as the backup to Thatcher Demko in the Canucks 7-1 win against the Ottawa Senators on Monday, which is why he had the hat on.

Television cameras picked up the lone hat down on the ice with the announcers saying that the toss came from Holtby.

Under normal circumstances, there would have been plenty more hats on the ice. But at least for now, one is better than none.
