Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round between the Boston Bruins and Carolina Hurricanes has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday.
The game was scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, the East hub city, but was pushed back because Game 1 of the first-round series between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Columbus Blue Jackets was entering the fifth overtime, tied 2-2.
The Tampa Bay-Columbus game began at 3:09 p.m. ET. It is the fifth-longest game in NHL history.
Blue Jackets goalie Joonas Korpisalo made 85 saves through the fourth overtime, an NHL postseason record.
