PHILADELPHIA — Cam Atkinson scored 45 seconds into overtime to give the Philadelphia Flyers a 2-1 win against the Calgary Flames at Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday.

Atkinson scored off the rebound of a Sean Couturier shot. It was his first goal in nine games.

Kevin Hayes scored for Philadelphia (8-4-2), and Carter Hart made 33 saves.

Jacob Markstrom made 41 saves for Calgary (8-3-5).

Oliver Kylington put the Flames ahead 1-0 at 10:31 of the first period when his point shot went in off Couturier.

Hayes tied it 1-1 at 4:37 of the second period. The forward got the puck in the right face-off circle and tried passing through the slot, but it was blocked by defenseman Rasmus Andersson. The puck came back to Hayes, who scored with a low shot.

It was Hayes’ first goal of the season in his second game; he made his debut at the Dallas Stars on Saturday after missing 12 games recovering from Sept. 21 abdominal surgery.

Markstrom made the save against Scott Laughton on a penalty shot at 2:38 of the second period after Andersson was called for holding Laughton on a breakaway.
